Music Ministry

The music ministry at St. Sebastian Catholic Church strives for
acceptance and a greater appreciation of liturgical music. Our
congregation exhibits great vitality and creativity, as there are many
parishioners assuming the leadership role of choir member,
instrumentalist, and cantor. Our mission is to create a living
celebration of worship, to enhance the authenticity of Catholic rituals,
and to achieve a wider understanding of music’s place in the liturgy.
Various styles of music are employed during specific masses, reflective
of age and culture, ranging from traditional church music to broader
styles of contemporary Catholic music.
Service Opportunities
Resurrection Choir
This choir provides an invaluable service to families who are overburdened with grief,
due to the loss of a loved one. At a time when most are unable to enter into the liturgy
musically, The Resurrection Choir leads the sung prayer of the funeral liturgy. If you
are interested in offering your services to this choir, please email Catherine Thomas,

Adult Choir
The Adult Choir currently consists of 15 members, men and women, and is open to anyone 18
and over. We welcome new members to join us every Thursday evening for two hours of fun
and fellowship, prayer, and musical adventures. Rehearsals are held in the school music room,
room 116, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Good News Singers
This newly formed group sings contemporary praise songs at the 12:30 mass each Sunday. The music selection is modern in nature, mixing textures of instruments and vocals. We currently have 2 guitar players, vocalists and a flute player.
We welcome any newcomers!!! meet every other Wednesdays, in the school music room (116), from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
